Hi guys, in your experience what glues work best for you? Also would you use a different glue to glue 2 photo etch parts together, as opposed to what you would use to glue item to bodywork? Thx

It depends on the strength needed in the joint. I almost always use ca glue to glue two pe parts together. But for attaching to the body I like to use an adhesive that will smooth itself and blend with the paint job. In those cases I like to use the clear that was sprayed on the body, or matches the paint sheen. But I sometimes use clear drying waterbased glues.

I use Future or Tamiya Clear X-22 for attaching things like emblems and such to the body.

Ditto. I use Tamiya clear or Future to attach my photo etched emblems to the body.

Can a PVA glue such as Micro Krystal Clear or Testors Clear Parts cement be used to attach photo etch emblems to a painted/polished body or is clear enamel or acrylic paint better?

I frequently use Testors Clear Parts Cement, 5 minute epoxy or clear paint/Future on items such as this. It depends on the application and the features of the attachment point, and whichever I think I can get attached more cleanly. Some of these adhesives won't hold well if handled often, especially if affixed to polished paint. CA is the best adhesive, but can be messy for such a high visibility application as body badges.

Micro Krystal Clear works as well, and if the part is very small and light and in a spot where it won't get touched (interior, etc), I sometimes use Micro Liquitape.

I'm on board with Micro Krystal Clear especially with small emblems and trim pieces.  It will clean up with water after it's dry.  I definitely stay away from CA super glue - it is much less forgiving and can fog clear or paint around where it's used.

I like Pacer Formula 560 canopy glue. Very forgiving...won't cloud paint and dries clear. You have some time to move the emblem around, and you can wick away the excess with a paper towel. I use it for attaching mirrors, headlight lenses, a million things.
