Davecww1 Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 This model is of the 1948 Stylemaster Six Series convertible, the first Chevy to pace a lap at the Indianapolis 500 race. It is built mainly using the Galaxie 1948 Chevrolet Aerosedan kit, and uses the resin convertible body made by F&F Resin casting. Decals are from Fred Cady Design. A scratchbuilt convertible pump and hoses were added to the firewall, the engine was wired and plumbed, all else was included in the Galaxie kit. I finished this one in 2011. Dave Calhoun
Eric Macleod Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Oh my. That is simply excellent. I really like all the little details on the instrument panel. Under the hood and on and on. This is a model to be proud of. Stunning.
CometMan Posted June 30, 2016 Posted June 30, 2016 Excellent work, Dave! I have a Galaxie kit and Cady decal set to do one of those waiting their turn in line, also!
