Snake45 Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Ran across a couple old Revell 1/32 ponycars I'd like to Snake-slap together, but the wheels and tires are pretty stupid looking. Does anyone do good wheels and tires in 1/32? Would there be something suitable in slot car parts, and if so, who's a good supplier of those?
Earl Marischal Posted July 12, 2016 Posted July 12, 2016 Snake,I was about to suggest slot car parts. Not sure about US availability but there are several cars in the Scalectrix range that have nice wheels and tyres.http://www.scalextric.com/us-en/shop/cars.htmlsteve
Jimmy Wilson Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 You might look at the "Big Time Muscle" die cast cars at Wal-Mart. Not sure of the scale, but they might work. Wide tires and nice mags.Jimmy
Jhedir6 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 Try here, they sell parts. ScaleAuto section then under 1/32 scale. These are the guys I get my 1/24 slot bodies from for curbsides.http://www.132slotcar.us/store/ David
mikemodeler Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Revell has some 1/32 snappers, check out Hobby Lobby or Tower Hobbies. The had a recent Mustang that has some nice chrome 5 spokes, kinda torq thrust like.

I might pirate those to use on the much rarer, much more interesting old Revell '68.
mikemodeler Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 (edited) I did check Tower Hobbies, they don't have the 1/32 Mustang kit listed any longer, but they might be available on eBay or a hobby shop with older kits. I did pick up one of those Mustang kits a couple of years ago to use the wheels on a Chevette build I have planned. Another option might be the Pegasus Irok wheels. IIRC they tend to be on the small side and they could look just right. Edited August 29, 2016 by mikemodeler
blunc Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 usually a google image search for 1/32 scale slot car wheels works well for me, then I can see what I'm looking for and get the link directly to a vendor. or you can try this place...Slot Car Parts : Electric Dreams, New and Vintage Slot Cars
