Jordan White Posted August 8, 2017 Author Posted August 8, 2017 You should be able to modify the kit taillights, it looks like just remove the vertical bars between the 3 sections and add one that goes horizontally down the middle.
Iroc crazy Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 All about time would you like me to send you via PDF file the yenko instruction manualTo aid in your project it's no problem
Jordan White Posted August 8, 2017 Author Posted August 8, 2017 Sure! Could be useful for some of the smaller details.
Iroc crazy Posted August 8, 2017 Posted August 8, 2017 (edited) Excellent are you able to do photo etching parts ?? If so could you send pics of parts you've produced Curious to see Edited August 9, 2017 by Iroc crazy
Fordboy1975 Posted August 9, 2017 Posted August 9, 2017 Looking forward to seeing some more progress on this thing, I've wanted to do something like this for a while now, but money, time, and skill have got in the way.
Jordan White Posted August 15, 2017 Author Posted August 15, 2017 Quick update. Got some of the engine painted and assembled. Here are the headers, they are the small block headers modified into big block headers. I still need to putty and sand them, as well as add the mounting flanges. SAM_0255 by mudder_trucker8 Here are the modified valve covers, to correct the incorrect bolt pattern. I have a little more sanding to do to get them ready for chrome. SAM_0258 by mudder_trucker8 Finally, here's the engine so far. Corvette 427 big block, painted Chevy Engine Orange. I modified the water pump to more closely resemble the long nose 1969 style rather than the short nose 1967 style. I also had to extend the crankshaft pulley to match the water pump. Iroc crazy Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 I'll give you mad props jealous as I haven't been able to locate a 427 but haveA backup plan intake manifold and tripower setup on The 302 probably the cheapest way to do it
Jordan White Posted August 15, 2017 Author Posted August 15, 2017 If you would like, I have the tripower intake and carbs, along with the aftermarket big block valve covers that I would be willing to give you.
Iroc crazy Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Anything I can do for you as a favor name it I'll send you my address in a pm
Iroc crazy Posted August 15, 2017 Posted August 15, 2017 Are you still looking for the Monte Carlo Aero back decals if so pm me the info and I'll see what I can doDeal ?
Jordan White Posted August 25, 2017 Author Posted August 25, 2017 I filled in the frame a bit and smoothed it out. Here's how the engine fits in the chassis. Luckily Monogram made it so the small block and big blocks fit in the same chassis. SAM_0263 by mudder_trucker8 SAM_0267 by mudder_trucker8 SAM_0268 by mudder_trucker8
Iroc crazy Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Envious do you know anything about 3-d printing
Jordan White Posted August 25, 2017 Author Posted August 25, 2017 I have made things to be 3d printed, the wheels for this project are one thing I've had done. I don't have a printer myself though and use Shapeways for my printing.
Iroc crazy Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 How do you apply your ideas for the project to them you knowWhat I'm after making it happen different story
Jordan White Posted August 25, 2017 Author Posted August 25, 2017 You have to use a 3D modeling program to design the solid part which is then uploaded to the printer/printing service.
Iroc crazy Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 I have xp what program would you recommend that's easyA chimp could use
Jordan White Posted August 25, 2017 Author Posted August 25, 2017 Do a Google search for Sketchup Make 2014. It's a free program that you can make 3d models with, and there are numerous tutorials on how to use it. You would have to search how to convert their file to an STL file to upload to the printer.
Iroc crazy Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 (edited) I'll keep it in mind I'm not computer tech savvy howeverI have a sister who is well that is out of her knowledge Edited August 25, 2017 by Iroc crazy
