disconovaman Posted August 6, 2016 Posted August 6, 2016 I did a quick build on this little Schwinn bike to get it off my bench. It builds up simple with only 7 parts. I tried to give it redline tires but it ended up looking more like red wheels instead. Oh well, I used a green sharpie for the "Pea picker" look of that era. The steering works and the wheels turn. I thought it would look good on the back of a pick up I want to build later.
peteski Posted August 10, 2016 Posted August 10, 2016 Looks pretty good.Is it 1:24 or 1:25 scale? Who made the kit?

GLMFAA1 Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Originally MPC with Surfer 'Hot Curl' in 1/25 scale , kit was I think one of the 12 in 1 kitsgreg
unclescott58 Posted August 18, 2016 Posted August 18, 2016 Looks great. I too built one with my Model A wagon a couple of years ago. It's a very nice kit for its scale. Now if we could convince Round 2 to reissue MPC's 1/8 scale Stingray. Which was the Pea Picker, by the way. Also I like the red wheels. It may not look like red line tires (B.F. Goodrich Tiger Paws for bikes). But, it sure looks cool.
disconovaman Posted August 18, 2016 Author Posted August 18, 2016 Thanks everyone, I wasn't sure how many veiwers I'd have in this section because I only frequent the model car fourm. But now that I was redirected it's like I've found a whole other site.
