crazyjim Posted August 21, 2016 Posted August 21, 2016 This is an IPMS Reviewer Corps build of the Revell '57 Ford Gasser kit. I didn't build it as a gasser, but more a mild custom. It's finished in HOK planet green.
PARTSMARTY Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Looks absolutely killer !!!-I wonder how many rooms it must take to store all these builds-you really knock em out with such consistent quality-bravo my friend !!!
crazyjim Posted August 22, 2016 Author Posted August 22, 2016 Thanks everyone. You guys are too kind.
Jmaracing Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Another great looking build Jim wish I could build as fast as you. Takes me forever to complete a build. Great job??
crazyjim Posted August 22, 2016 Author Posted August 22, 2016 Thanks Joe. Bear in mind I'm retired and usually spend every afternoon in my shop where there's always 3 builds going.
wayne swayze Posted August 22, 2016 Posted August 22, 2016 Good looking wagon Jim! I also like the green you picked. Almost bought this kit earlier today.
TarheelRick Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Thanks Joe. Bear in mind I'm retired and usually spend every afternoon in my shop where there's always 3 builds going.I am also retired, but for some reason there is a list of "to do" items longer than my arm. That being said, this is one beautiful Ford wagon.
crazyjim Posted August 23, 2016 Author Posted August 23, 2016 Thanks Ricky. Mornings are for chores while afternoons are for building. At least in my little world.
Burnout Posted August 23, 2016 Posted August 23, 2016 Very nice looking model. And shiny too! Foil work looks especially nice.
Lovefordgalaxie Posted August 24, 2016 Posted August 24, 2016 Nice touch using the AMT valve covers. The plug wires are on a impossible place for a Y-Block tough. They have to get to the spark plugs from below. making them reach the spark plugs like you did will result on the wires melting in contact with the manifold. On a 1:1, of course.
Dann Tier Posted August 25, 2016 Posted August 25, 2016 WOW! -Dare to be different -and you did!!! -Nice job!!
crazyjim Posted August 25, 2016 Author Posted August 25, 2016 Thanks Tulio, Dann, and Jan. I wanted chrome valve covers so I picked a set from the parts bin. I don't know what they came from. I was thinking of running the ignition wires over the exhaust manifolds, but didn't think that was correct, so I went under them. Which was much more work.
