Jim B Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 Here is my completed 1957 Ford Custom 300 Fire Chief's car. I think it came out nicely (if I do say so myself). Is it a contest winner? No. Are there things I would do differently if I build this car again? Yes, but overall I'm pleased with the results.
tbill Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 looks great Jim. will you display that at the fire station?
Jim B Posted October 27, 2016 Author Posted October 27, 2016 Thanks, Tom. Nope! I'm going to display it at my house.
Jim B Posted October 27, 2016 Author Posted October 27, 2016 Thanks, Dave. Eventually I'm going to build a matching police car, but not today!
GLMFAA1 Posted October 27, 2016 Posted October 27, 2016 I was hoping you would post it over here, I can comment here, 1 item it needs is a nice old big whip antenna, you got the radio in it,greg
slusher Posted October 28, 2016 Posted October 28, 2016 A really good looking model. Wonderfully done...
Jim B Posted October 28, 2016 Author Posted October 28, 2016 Thanks, guys. I appreciate the comments. Greg, maybe I'll put a whip antenna on the next one. It's going to be a 1949 Mercury Club Coupe made into "Sheriff" from Cars, but without the eyes!
stavanzer Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 All it needs now is a Fire Chief! Outstanding build.
Jim B Posted November 2, 2016 Author Posted November 2, 2016 Thanks, Alan. If I could find a decent 1/25 scale firefighter of the correct era, I might be tempted!
