Superpeterbilt Posted November 7, 2016 Posted November 7, 2016 Lee, nice continuing progress. The trucl looks great. I agree with the idea of a subrame under the bed. Here are some pics of the spoke wheels I built. These are made with the spoke wheels that come in the 26 Mack AC kit, and pieces used from other spoke wheels. Here is a 5 spoke Here is a 6 spoke that still needs the Mack center cap
Pete68 Posted November 7, 2016 Author Posted November 7, 2016 Terrythose are nice, great work. If you ever cast them up and want to sell any I would buy a set or 2 from you. I think they would sell good.
Pete68 Posted January 2 Author Posted January 2 (edited) Well it’s a New Year and thought about what kinda models I will be building in the near future and I came up this idea of re-visiting my old builds that were on here and maybe the ones I started 40 years ago. First up will be this Mack AC. I worked on it tonight and got a lot done. I know why I put this thing away 9 years ago it’s a twisted up mess. I think I have it going my way now. Next it is to add the Head Lights and a few more details and I’m calling it done. Engine is now in the frame. I decided to go with a light gray these were mostly a Black or Dark Grey but I decided on a lighter Grey. Added the tailgate Added the steering wheel and put the front cross piece on with the radiator guard on. That’s it for tonight. Edited January 2 by Pete68 2

Biggu Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Another old school heavy duty stout Mack build. The guys who drove these trucks were as tough as the trucks themselves, no springs on the frame, seats bolted to the floor, no padding on the seats, no seat belts to help hold the driver in place on rough roads, no windshield, no heater, arm strong steering, straight cut gears, mechanical brakes,( if there was any brakes at all 😳), rattly chain drive and most likely toss in some unmuffled exhaust ……. Where do I apply? 🤭 BUT these trucks look so cool with the big wheels and tires. Love the build Lee …. 1
Pete68 Posted January 2 Author Posted January 2 Today I painted the inside of the headlights with a sharpie then added the lenses also add more minor stuff before it goes to Under Glass. 2
Scott Eriksen Posted January 3 Posted January 3 That thing looks good Lee , who's kit is that? I know Atlantis has the repop Monogram AC with solid tires 2

Rockford Posted January 5 Posted January 5 I think 8 years must be some sort of record for a paused build. Well done on getting it going again. Looking good. 2
Pete68 Posted January 6 Author Posted January 6 7 hours ago, Rockford said: I think 8 years must be some sort of record for a paused build. Nah I’ve got about 2 Mack’s left that I started 45 years ago I almost finished but used the Parts/Frames or sold them but kept the cabs that’s on pause 😂 I got them from Doug Compton he sold the company to AITM. Doug bought the company from the founder Jim Etter. I’m planning on getting these finished one day soon. Thanks for the complement. 2
