cobraman Posted December 29, 2016 Posted December 29, 2016 (edited) As I was building my first one of these kits which I did stock I had the idea to do a drag version. This will be a curbside build so no engine or chassis detail. It will have a simple scratch built interior. I am leaning towards a red/orange for the color but not sure yet. Jmaracing Posted December 30, 2016 Posted December 30, 2016 Looks like it's gonna be a awesome build Ray. I'll be watching!
cobraman Posted January 2, 2017 Author Posted January 2, 2017 Thank you Joe. I believe I am going with a red/orange color. Thanks Kerry.
gasser59 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Looks great Ray. I was thinking of something similar with this kit since I stole the tires already.
cobraman Posted January 2, 2017 Author Posted January 2, 2017 Thanks Brad. I'm going to use the full Bronco chassis under a Cobra.
gasser59 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 (edited) Thanks Brad. I'm going to use the full Bronco chassis under a Cobra. That should prove interesting. I don't want to hijack your thread but here's sort of what I was shooting for but with some engine set back while also moving the driver back. It would also have the top on. Edited January 2, 2017 by gasser59 Bad link.
gasser59 Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 (edited) Drats!! Edited January 2, 2017 by gasser59 Another bad link. Can't edit post if there is a link in it.
1930fordpickup Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 I was surprised that the Cobra had a longer wheelbase than the Bronco. This thing is small. It was a 1/24 scale to the 1/25 scale though. Ray are you doing a fade paint from orange to red?
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 2, 2017 Posted January 2, 2017 Pretty cool. I never woulda thunk of that. The 4WD Cobra ought to be a lot of fun to see get built too.
cobraman Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 Thanks guys. I have plenty of Cobras so I am always looking to build something different silly as they may be.
cobraman Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 We have paint ! Decals added but still needs to be cleared.
Jmaracing Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Looks awesome Ray. Can't wait to see it all done..
cobraman Posted January 3, 2017 Author Posted January 3, 2017 (edited) Thanks Joe. I forgot I took the pics before the decals should be able to clear it tomorrow. Edited January 3, 2017 by cobraman spelling
