Zoom Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 (edited) Revell, some PE-parts added. My first black car. Painted with Tamiya TS-14 and TS-13 clear, maybe I should have put some more clear on. I´m jealous on you guys who can managed the black, I had problems with fingerprints, dust and things like that. There was some BMF to do, and I have a little problem to get the right fit of the chassis in the body.Otherwise I think it came out nice. All kinds of comments are welcome. JerseyRed Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Foil work and engine detailing are both excellent and the black looks pretty darn good too.
Fanof69 Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Wow that came out really nice Bo. Beautiful build!!
espo Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Beautiful build. Had a family friend who owned one of these back in the day. They were a sight to behold. Love the black paint job. You are correct it is a real job to get it wright, but worth the extra effort.
donb Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Foil work and engine detailing are both excellent and the black looks pretty darn good too.Agreed.
JerseyRed Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 (edited) I meant to say it before and I got interrupted and forgot. Your interior looks very good. Did you brush paint the seats? What I can see of the dashboard looks great too. I have one of these in the works and had a blast doing the dash. I can't wait to do another. Edited January 4, 2017 by JerseyRed
BigTallDad Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Everything is crisp and clean...very nice work. For accuracy, you might want to remove the front license plate; Florida required pairs of plates for only four years—1918, 1919, 1920, and 1921. In all other years, the state has required only one plate, on the rear of the vehicle. Yeah, I know...picky picky picky.
bbowser Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 That's a real black beauty! Great work on a LOT of foil. I love it.
Gregor Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Very nice. I did that kit years ago in a light blue. That was before I was aware of foil. Yours is sweet.
Perspective Customs Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Not my favorite year Caddy but this is one is beautifully done all around.
D. Battista Posted January 5, 2017 Posted January 5, 2017 Very very nice...!!! All the way around ....Excellent first black paint job... TS-14 was the first can of Tamiya spray I used when it first came to the states... and have been sold on TS cans since...Again great job..!!!
