Amen, Ron...in my opinion it is bordering on a national scandal that there hasn't been a full detail kit of the current Mustang yet - particularly given that it is sold globally now....the Mustang is incredibly popular in overseas markets and one would think that appeal would stretch to a scale replica kit.....TIM   (Well, maybe I overstated that national scandal term a bit, but seriously, what's the deal here???)  TB

Agreed! Now, with the Mustang MY18 refresh revealed, is a perfect time tool a full detail 2018 Mustang (along with the current GT350, to be greedy). The fact I own a 2016 GT has absolutely nothing to do with my desire. Well, mostly nothing.

Hmmm.....me neither (smile).

That aside, the current Mustang is now the BEST SELLING SPORTS CAR IN THE WORLD!!!   One would think that would present a smart business opportunity to the model makers here.

What I fear is that if the domestics ignore this market, one of the foreign kitmakers will fill the void.  Based on past experience, that runs the possible risk of an underdeveloped engine/engine compartment detail and content (especially crucial for a product like the Mustang), and surely a higher kit price.  Not a win for the domestic kitmakers nor the domestic kit buying public.

But I'm sure most here would agree that any current gen Mustang kit from a foreign kitmaker would be better than none at all.  TIM

PS....I wonder what a full detail kit from Aoshima might look like???

I am still surprised that there is not a full detail kit of the Modern Mustang. Revell markets the simple snap kit of the Mustang, which I have and have not built, simply because it is TOO simple. I am quite sure that Revell did fine with the last rendition of the Mustang, as there were glue and snap kits, Shelby GT's, and a Boss 302 version of the car, each a good kit in their own right. Why we did not get a full glue kit of the current Mustang is anyone's guess. I would not want to see one of the import manufacturers do the car, as it would more than likely be a 1/24 scale kit, and besides I want them to keep on with European and Asian subjects. There is plenty to go around.
