taaron76 Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Anyone who has built this kit (AMT 1:24) knows that the quality is lacking in just about every area, but I did the best I could and made it salvageable. I took way to many pics of the entire build to post here, but below you will find a link to the photo gallery, if you want to see more of the build, step-by-step. Thanks for looking! taaron76 Posted February 20, 2017 Author Posted February 20, 2017 Thank you! I was looking at pics and realized I forgot to attach the upper radiator hose. lol Tim
landman Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Absolutely gorgeous !!!Yup. You salvaged it all right.
microwheel Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Outstanding work as usual Tim. Very Impressive on the level of detail.
vamach1 Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Super nice job the Mustang. I noticed the running horse emblems instead of the Snake on the fenders - nice touch.
taaron76 Posted February 21, 2017 Author Posted February 21, 2017 Outstanding work as usual Tim. Very Impressive on the level of detail. I had a great mentor. Tim
taaron76 Posted February 21, 2017 Author Posted February 21, 2017 Super nice job the Mustang. I noticed the running horse emblems instead of the Snake on the fenders - nice touch.I actually ditched all of the "Shelby" badging and just went for this look instead. I thought about putting the PE "Mustang" across the front of the hood and read trunk lid, but changed my mind at the last minute. I do need to install the hood pins though, which are in the mail. Thanks!Tim
Metaldrumm Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Very nice work, this is the standard to strive for.
cobramike Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Beautiful, just beautiful! I'm striving to build my kit as nice as your fantastic rendering of this sows ear of a kit. You certainly made yours into a silk purse.
mustang1989 Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Now where in the world does a guy start in regards to compliments on a build like that! I do like seeing a car dropped like this. Suspension work is tops as well as all the other details of this ride. Wayda go brutha!
Bob Ellis Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 great job. I really like the opening doors and trunk.
Peter Lombardo Posted February 24, 2017 Posted February 24, 2017 Yes, very nice... and yes, it is a difficult kit to make look this good.
RestoModGuy Posted February 25, 2017 Posted February 25, 2017 Outstanding build... I enjoy looking at all the detail you did on this. Great looking finish...
