YBlock292 Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 I started with a new kit, the 1947 Chevy Coupe from Galaxie Ltd. which is going to be a custom carSo I started off with the paint. I choose "Pink" by Tamiya which I covered with thwo layers of Tamiya's pearl clear (TS 65). I think these photos demonstrate how the pearl clear looks on the base color.
espo Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 This will be interesting to watch. I have one of these in line to build, some day.
Ramfins59 Posted February 26, 2017 Posted February 26, 2017 Very nice Ludwig. I'm also working on one of these, but I'm using a chopped body from Jimmy Flintstone.
YBlock292 Posted February 28, 2017 Author Posted February 28, 2017 Update: 2-28-2017 Chevy's "stovebolt six":
espo Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 That is a great looking engine. Is there any optional carburation or duel exhaust included in the kit ??
YBlock292 Posted February 28, 2017 Author Posted February 28, 2017 Yes, David, You can choose between between the stock carb or a three single Stromberg carburetor set-up.
YBlock292 Posted March 3, 2017 Author Posted March 3, 2017 Update 3-3-2017: Meanwhile the engine has been installed on the chassis.
espo Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 Your build looks great. I like the chrome trim, is it foil or did you use a pen??
YBlock292 Posted March 7, 2017 Author Posted March 7, 2017 Hi David,I always use BMF new improved chrome.
espo Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Hi David,I always use BMF new improved chrome. Wow on the foil job. Your dash looks more like a picture of a 1:1 . I like the interior color. Your build just keeps pushing my coupe closer to the top of the build list.
