Rocking Rodney Rat Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 A slightly different take on the AMT '33 Willys. The chop lent itself to this treatment. Quarter elliptical front springs, four-link rear end with a Ford 9". Yeah, it's got a Hemi. Hacked up interior from the Lil Coffin show rod. Wheels and tires from Modelhaus (RIP)... Buildup pix here: http://public.fotki.com/jferren/33-willys/ Thanks for looking.... -RRR
Daddyfink Posted March 20, 2017 Posted March 20, 2017 Wow! Totally a different take on a old classic. Very cool build!
Snake45 Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 I like this quite a lot (except for the whitewalls, which is just a personal taste). I wonder why no one has done this in real life? Someone should. Well done and model on!
cobraman Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Another winner ! That is one large shift knob. : )
PARTSMARTY Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 I'm speechless and 100% completely blown away !!!
Intmd8r Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 I like it - you don't see many '33 Willys built this way...
Snake45 Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 Another winner ! That is one large shift knob. : ) It makes up for the tiny steering wheel.
alan barton Posted March 21, 2017 Posted March 21, 2017 That just flat works! Perfectly balanced, nicely detailed a a great colour combo.. Like it a lot.
68shortfleet Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Wow, that looks really good.I have this kit on the bench right now. Building it as a typical gasser though. Way to far into the build to change directions now though.
Crizila Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 Beautiful work!! Shift knob is slightly too small.
