ranma Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 Just finished this 1/16 57 Chevy. I'd like to thank Vince Nelson for trading me his unbuilt copy of this car. 2
f1ford48 Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 that is nice paint and trim work. these cars look great when built stock like this
ranma Posted March 29, 2017 Author Posted March 29, 2017 Yes they are a nice kit, better if you don't use the metal axle on the front, then the wheels are able to turn right and left.
Iroc crazy Posted July 17, 2017 Posted July 17, 2017 I have the 1/12 scale 50th anniversary Revell kit hardtop and now No longer available thinking of gloss turquoise and ivory combo just takes time
DumpyDan Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 Well done, built a few of these years ago never looked this good. Great looking build!
ranma Posted November 18, 2023 Author Posted November 18, 2023 I have all Three 1/16 1957 Chevrolet's the sport coupe above, the convertible, and the Nomad. I got the Nomad when I bought the totes last year at the U.S. 127 Garage Sales which had to be rebuilt, and replace a few missing parts. The Nomad is also Turquoise and white as it look's like the one that was used on Richard dean Anderson's MacGyver...
Supernurd Posted November 21, 2023 Posted November 21, 2023 Beautiful. Love the black wall tire - plain jane look! ?
Kenmojr Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Love this build. I have the 1/16 AMT 57 Nomad that I built over 30 years ago and thinking on doing some fixing on it. I think you've given me some motivation.
Bugatti Fan Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Nice model! A very good replica of this iconic car. I take my hat off to all you guys who make really good jobs using those now quite elderly kits like this one and the big Revell (ex Monogram) kit. It would be very nice if someone like Tamiya were to tool up this particular subject in 1/12th scale so we could have a state of the art kit of this car.
