97Dustang Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 I'm building a 2010 Mustang Gt and trying to build it into a drag car and I'm having a really hard time finding a wheel/tire combo that is what I'm looking for. Whenever I find wheels they are all older style gasser wheels or torq thrusts. I'm trying to find a more modern drag wheel, like something weld would produce. Not looking to make it into a pro mod car, unless those are the wheels I need to buy and slim down a bit, but even that I cant seem to find anything that is more of the modern drag wheel style. Can anyone help point me in a good direction? Thanks,Dustin
426 pack Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 I would go with the revell 1/25 scale nova ss 2in1 or revell 1/25 scale 90 mustang lx 5.0 drag car they both have weld racing rims and about 8 mm wide and 2.8mm tall slicks nova rims are first pic mustang rims are second pic
High octane Posted April 14, 2017 Posted April 14, 2017 You can also find those wheels at Competition Resins, and Chief Joseph at Fireball Model Works has some drag radials I believe.
97Dustang Posted April 14, 2017 Author Posted April 14, 2017 Thanks, i'll check them out! Was trying to avoid buying another kit just for the wheels and tires but that may be the route I go. Thanks for the pictures!
ShakyCraftsman Posted April 15, 2017 Posted April 15, 2017 Hey 97dustang Try 3Dspecialties Ron has some modern Weld racing wheels, like the ones on the crowmod and murder nova from Street Outlaws. He has alot of other stuff too.RONG
NYLIBUD Posted April 26, 2017 Posted April 26, 2017 I've used wheels and tires from some Diecast pro stock cars. They're great looking.
