A lot easier to get an AMT '72 Ventura or one of the resin copies and update it.

The '73/'74 was an update of the earlier body with new front and rear ends with big bumpers and different shape rear side windows. The '75 up were a different generation body.

Thanks, guys. I was afraid of that.  I have a 1:1 1974 gto (race car) and would like to build a model of it, but my skills are limited (have only built 2 models since this model car "addiction" hit me 3 months ago).  Ron.

I could swear I recently saw a '74 GTO or conversion pieces on some resincaster site very recently, but I might be mistaken, it might have been '72. It was SOMETHING of the sort that interested me.

ETA: I think this might have been what I saw. Possibly your closest starting point.

many years ago my dad owned a 74 GTO....Id love to make a replica of it sometime too.

Southern Motorsport Hobbies has this conversion for the Revell Nova. Another possible option to get you close to your car.
