The LA Roadster Show is less than two weeks away! If you plan to come on Sunday, come early, as the event opens at 7:00 and registration will close at 12:00. Awards will be presented at 2:00 PM, leaving plenty of time to attend those Father's Day barbecues!

*** If you have a roadster build, please bring it! ***

A thank you to Pegasus Hobbies! They have also made a contribution to the LA Roadsters Model Car Event. After the show, stop by and see their amazing store. It's the largest hobby shop in Southern California and it's only 10 minutes away from the Fairplex!

Great to hear the show turned out well. Looking forward to seeing the photos. Did a lot of spectators take in the model car show? Sometimes there is so much 1/1 eye candy at an outdoor car show that people miss the model car show!

Phil, the response was amazing from the public and the industry insiders. May be some big things happening next year...

Good to hear the model turnout was big. Hated to miss it, but just couldn't pull it off this year.

Hope to see you guys at another show sometime.

Sorry you couldn't make it, Brad. Hopefully next year!

The second edition of the LA Roadster Show Model Car Event is in the books and was a great success! Thanks to all the fantastic builders that came out to the show and wowed the public, hot rod industry insiders, and the LA Roadsters members themselves. We filled the tables to capacity with some of the highest quality models you will find anywhere.

We even got some pillars of the hot rodding community to participate, including the legendary Gene Winfield!

While everyone was a winner that showed up, here are the results of the people’s choice and special awards that were available to a select few:

Top 5 People’s Choice, in no particular order-

Jim Bunch              ’67 Mustang Pro Mod
Michael Apodaca   ’59 Chevy
John Teresi              Carl Casper Phone Booth
Mark Killingsworth  Tommy Ivo Dodge Dart
Ken Cornett              ’31 Ford Truck

Best Engine, selected by Mike Herman of H&H Flatheads:

Ron Ramsey ’32 Sedan Street Rod

Best Paint, selected by Gene Winfield:

John Teresi Freak Show

Best Roadster, selected by LA Roadsters Club members:

Charles Ruth ’37 Ford “Obnoxious”

LA Roadster’s President’s Pick

John Teresi P29 Roadster

Very special thanks to Tamiya USA, Edelbrock, PJ1 and Pegasus Hobbies for supporting the show this year!

Link to more pictures available here, mostly of the show scene. Build pictures were taken and will be published at a later date. Hopefully some other folks post up their own table shots:
