Sheepskin seat covers

Have any of you added furry sheepskin seat covers to a model? Any suggestions on how to do this?

Perhaps a thin coat of putty over the seat, then stippled with a sponge or stiff brush?

My sister in law's Chevette back in the 1990s had those fuzzy fake sheepskin seat covers.  To duplicate them I simply used grey flocking.  Once I got the desired look,  I sealed it with hairspray.
