MGL Posted May 28, 2017 Posted May 28, 2017 (edited) Painted with craft acrylics as an experiment, thinned with just distilled water to about the consistency of milk and cleared with Duplicolor acrylic lacquer. I like these craft acrylics, many colors to choose from and easy to mix up what I want. Thank you for looking, and in Harry's honor I fought those 2 piece side view mirrors instead of pitching them. Lovefordgalaxie Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Very nice color choice, and great work on this super clean Ford. Loved it!!

MGL Posted May 31, 2017 Author Posted May 31, 2017 Great paint, great build. What brand of acrylics did you use?PB.I've been using the Americana paints from Michaels http://www.michaels.com/americana-acrylic-paint-2-oz/M10132000.htmlThey range from about $.50 to $2.00 for a 2 once bottle, I think the more expensive ones have finer pigments and flow a little better.
TooOld Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Beautifully done ! And you are right about the acrylics , I've been experimenting with the same ones and the results are excellent plus they are really easy to mix for custom colors .
bbowser Posted June 6, 2017 Posted June 6, 2017 Neat, clean work, great color choices. Were flatheads that color in '53? Did those spotlights come in the kit? I really like this!
