Jmaracing Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 Hey guys, I build this over the last 2 weeks. It's a revell snap kit. There is no motor or trans but it was a fun build. Hope everyone likes it. Thanks for looking and comments welcome.
crowe-t Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 Beautiful job! The paint shines like glass. What color is it painted? Can you post pictures of the chassis and interior?
signguy2108 Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Super looking car, who cares if it doesn't run! Kinda the way I build a lot of my shelf models, if they can't see it, don't waste it! lol
Metaldrumm Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Gotta be the cooliest snap kit i've ever seen, nice work.
Speedfreak Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Looks like nice work Joe. Is there any chance of you showing a close-up of how you've got those chutes rigged, looks good. Thanks!
Jmaracing Posted June 3, 2017 Author Posted June 3, 2017 Thank you everyone for the kind words. I'll post more pics of the build when I get back from vacation. As far as the paint I used rust-oleum painters touch.(Apple red) I find this paint to work really good on model cars.
MarkJ Posted June 5, 2017 Posted June 5, 2017 Awesome build and finish. So your saying you got that finish without polishing or clearing? If so, that's amazing work with a spray can.
Jmaracing Posted June 5, 2017 Author Posted June 5, 2017 Thanks guys. Mark I did use the clear after I put the decals on but no wax or wet sanding. I used this paint on other model cars before and got the same results.

I bought some of that paint to do a build and I guess I better go ahead and try it. Still, applying that clear and getting that result is phenominal from a spray can.

What a finish, from a can. I was so impressed with the quality of the finish you achieved I too just went out and bought some to try out. I've got a 2017 Raptor I just started and was going to paint red anyways so here's hoping mine comes out as good as yours. Fantastic job.David
