Monty
To the best of my knoledge, the '70 Mustang in the background is painted Bright Gold. Does anyone know of any close matches for this shade in hobby enamels or acrylics? I think Testors Inca Gold is similar, but IIRC, it has some fairly big flakes, which I don't want. ScottH454
I used a gold like that on my Nova, it is a HOK premixed airbrush paint called Solar Gold. http://www.tcpglobal.com/HOK_FBC01-4Z.html
Snake45
If I wanted to match that Mustang, I think I'd start with Model Master Turn Signal Amber and experiment. First by airbrushing it over different colors of primer (white, black, and a few shades in between), and then if necessary by adding small amounts of solid colors--perhaps yellow--until I got close enough to suit me. jet
Turn Signal Amber for sure but as Snake said, play with the base color. I've used it over Copper, Gold, Brass and even Yellow. You want to play with the gold base to get that color because the Amber is a transparent candy metallic color. It likes the Gold because its the brightest of the list. Aluminum washes it out badly. I used the Amber and toned it with just a smidge of clear green off a 1/4oz bottle of Jade Green Metallic. This is all over Gold base and in direct afternoon sun through the window.Look through the Metalizer line also for some gold colors. It might help the tone but not the size of the fleck because my Gold laid down almost reflective but it was all lost through the larger flake in the Amber. There is a compliment to the Amber with their Stop Light Red metallic. I haven't tried it as a toner to bring more orange into the amber but I'm sure it would work okay Edited June 20, 2017 by jet

Monty
Looks like Grabber Orange to me Monty. When I first saw the pic, I checked my favorite paint reference site to see what colors Ford offered for 1970. Obviously Grabber Orange was an option, but I was never a big fan of any of the Grabber colors, so I kept looking until I came across Bright Gold. (http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?year=1970&manuf=Ford) I then did a Google search on Bright Gold '70 Mustangs, and this was one of the first I found. Here's one from the Barrett Jackson auction site also listed as Bright Gold metallic. I've always felt this shade looked far better than the standard "gold" paints the auto industry was using at the time.
