Can-Con Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Pretty close to what the 1/1 should look like at the end of this summer. The paint turned out a bit darker than the 1/1 but that may be lighting. No engine shots, nothing to see, all black, . anyway,,
RestoModGuy Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Steve, you nailed it perfectly. I followed the build, you made some excellent detail mods to build as an authentic tribute to you car
59-Desoto Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Looks fantastic, had a friend that also had a twin to it. You hit the nail on the head.
Dodge Driver Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Great looking T/A Steve! Nice job fitting the nose and rear bumper.
bbowser Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Really nice work! I recall that being a popular color option on these.
Classicgas Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Well done. Could you post a pic of the real car?
Dragline Posted June 29, 2017 Posted June 29, 2017 Seems to me that with ample skill applied this kit can come out stunning. Well done indeed sir.
Can-Con Posted June 29, 2017 Author Posted June 29, 2017 Well done. Could you post a pic of the real car? Sure,,, Actually, it's a lot farther along than in this pic. It's only a few more hours work away from being ready for paint now. Here's what it looked like when I got it home,,
Can-Con Posted June 30, 2017 Author Posted June 30, 2017 Thanks everyone, I appreciate all the positive comments.
Geno Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 I love this body style Steve and you hit a Grand Slam with this build.
Scalper Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 This has to he the nicest t/a I've seen built. Great work.
Dann Tier Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 This has to he the nicest t/a I've seen built. Great work. Agreed!!!!
Spex84 Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 I'm not really a Firebird/Camaro guy, but wow, that's a beautiful model! The fade, the decals, great paint...and I liked the posed wheels too. I'm sure the model will make an excellent motivational tool as you move forward with the 1:1 project. If the real car comes out half as nice as the model, you'll have a sweet ride on your hands!
