Mike 1017 Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Just got an e-mail from Model Roundup the Foose 49 Cadillac is due out in August. $22.90 Quote
stavanzer Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Has anybody seem any preview photos of the parts in this kit? I've seen the box art, but I'm hungry to know what is inside. Quote
Ace-Garageguy Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 I almost don't care if it's a great kit or just so-so. I WANT several. There's just no other styrene source for that body, or anything even close enough. FIRST thing I want to do is graft on a chopped fastback from the old AMT Chebby, kinda like zo... aurfalien Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Hi,W0W!Looks hot, I may also get one, just one though and do OBB.Stunner for sure. Quote
Rob Hall Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 There were photos posted here a while back of a builtup one at a show...looked good. I haven't seen pics of the parts trees anywhere, but it's due in a month or so... Quote
samdiego Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 I've pre-ordered mine from Tower. I think the odds of this kit being bad are extremely slim.. The gamble I took was also ordering the Dirty Donny Pinball Monster. Quote

stavanzer Posted July 2, 2017 Posted July 2, 2017 Thanks for the Photos. Still no 'Cadillac' script valve covers, but I like it anyway. I'll need at least two of these. Quote

CometMan Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Due out in August of what year? It is a very good looking car, but with no way to build it stock, and no way to change the molds to make a stock version later on, not sure if I'll get in on this one. Quote
High octane Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 I saw the built up of that kit on display at the Milwaukee NNL and will be getting one for sure, as I'm currently workin' on a '64 Caddy convert kit, and I've owned a couple of Caddys in the past. Quote

niteowl7710 Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 FWIW this kit is actually on the new kits section of Revell's website this morning as a July release. Quote
Rob Hall Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 FWIW this kit is actually on the new kits section of Revell's website this morning as a July release. I noticed that..probably will be at the preferred shops at the end of the month, and everywhere else in August. Quote

Dave Van Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Wish it was a hard top rather than soft...but like the 56 Ford....I'll pick one up. Quote
Rob Hall Posted July 3, 2017 Posted July 3, 2017 Wish it was a hard top rather than soft...but like the 56 Ford....I'll pick one up. The roof from the '51 Chevy Bel Air ht would be a good starting point to do a custom hardtop version.. Quote

Richard Bartrop Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 The more I see of that, the better I like it. Quote
stavanzer Posted July 4, 2017 Posted July 4, 2017 How soon before the first Resin Hardtop body hits the market? I'm betting it will be not long after Thanksgiving. Quote

slusher Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Is this going to be one of the prepainted versions? If you read the description on model roundup makes you wonder,, Quote
High octane Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Is this going to be one of the prepainted versions? If you read the description on model roundup makes you wonder,,The Revell description does't mention anything about it being pre-painted. Quote
stavanzer Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Que the Screeching!According to the Revell listing for the Eldorod, it will have the "Dreaded" Solid Wire axles. Let the shrieking and pearl clutching begin. I'm ready to buy two of these now. I want one that bad. Quote
