dave branson Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 (edited) This is being built for the Heartland Nationals common build kit they do every year. The body has been cut front to tail and 1/4 inch taken out of it, and then the halfs were put back together. Do not the paint I used it was left over from another build, I just wanted the jar back. The model will be built as a slammer. Added 6 coats of Tamiya clear and then polished with detail master kit. A little more about this build. The model was given away at Heartland Nationals model contest and has to be built by next year, there is 12 of us envolved in this build. I don't much care for the Audi so I was going to try and ugly the car. This is the 4th year of them doing this kind of build there. In past years they did a Mustang, Volkswagen Bug, and Geo Storm. A cool little byuild to get people involved. Edited August 1, 2017 by dave branson
Funkychiken Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Really good start, I like the paint, and still be interested in where you are going with this...
OldNYJim Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 What a cool project! What inspired you to narrow it? Looks cool! The colour is gorgeous!I wouldn't wanna have to narrow that windshield myself - looks like that'll be a BEAR to do, but I cant wait to see how you do it!
