DrKerry Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 It isn't the purtiest thing but the cab is done!!!!!! Now I need to get a tanker trailer and build that to hook up!!!!! What do ya all think??? Is it worthy of the road???
landman Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 (edited) Love it. And you are right, it is waiting for a trailer. One like this: I went back to the workbench to find your source for the wheels. It is not mentioned other than they are resin. Where did you get them? Edited September 10, 2017 by landman
DrKerry Posted September 10, 2017 Author Posted September 10, 2017 Thanks gents, the wheels are from Jimmy Flintstone as is the cab!!!

I like that pic, I'll be using the Lindberg trailer. Though of shortening it up a little bit not sure if I will or not.....
1930fordpickup Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Looks great Kerry. Go ahead and shorten the trailer like the picture above. It will fit the era better and take up less shelf space.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Very Cool! I like the colors! Nice job!
Tesla Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 That looks real nice Kerry! You did a great job
DrKerry Posted September 11, 2017 Author Posted September 11, 2017 Thanks gents and I am going to try shortening the trailer up. Should be an easy cut to bring it up!!!!!

Jim B Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 The wheels & tyres appear to be copies of the Italeri Opel Blitz parts.Interesting. I might need to look into this as I need something like these for a Ford F8.
dodgefever Posted September 13, 2017 Posted September 13, 2017 Interesting. I might need to look into this as I need something like these for a Ford F8.They're OK size wise, but 8-stud fixing and have military tread pattern on the tyres. Also, the PCD of the stud pattern is larger than you'd typically see on US trucks - same goes for 10 stud British and Euro wheels vs. US ones, the US wheels have a smaller PCD.
Jim B Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Thanks for information. I have no idea what a PCD is, but I'll look it up.
