cars1206 Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Hi everyone. In late July yall helped me with stripping the paint from my diecast. With that now done I was wondering if there is a way to deepen the panel lines? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
randyc Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 razor saw? Not sure if a scribe or dental pick would work with the metal. But I used a razor saw to cut a new fender line at bottom in a recent build.
redneckrigger Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 I use the back side of a number 11 x-acto blade. If that is too sharp, use one that has the tip broken off.

X-Acto blade steel should be harder than whatever alloy diecasts are made of, so it should work. It's likely to take forever, though. Though I routinely rescribe kit bodies, I've never tried it on a diecast, so I really have no idea how much work might be involved. I'm guessing probably a LOT.
cars1206 Posted September 18, 2017 Author Posted September 18, 2017 Thanks for the responses. I to use the back side of a blade on plastic. I ll give it a go and let yall know how it worked out. Thanks again!
