Finally finished this one up. Not my best but not my worst for sure. This thing fought me every step of the way and I'm glad it's done and on the shelf. I learned a lot from it.

I started out with this eBay glue bomb. I used the rare original kit custom parts on it and many thanks to Les Gibbens for those!

Here it is finished..warts 'n all.

All of the custom features of the day. I always liked the cover over the back seat and folded top. This also made it less drafty if you didn't have extra passengers. I remember guys doing this on hardtops also covering the back seat and sometimes a pattern in the meddle. Your wheel and tire combo is very much keeping with the '60's.

Thanks all! I thought that custom tail panel was just enough 60's jet/space age crazy to be cool today and in keeping  with the '60s vibe I was going for. Glad I was able to get those custom parts. Thanks Les!

Glad ya'll enjoyed seeing the Merc.

I love it !  The early 60's Mercury doesn't get enough recognition either full size or in scale .  Your '62 glue bomb is gorgeous to my eyes . . . great save !
