Modlbldr Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 While mixing some paint today I noticed some small bits that didn't mix. This brought me to the thought of 1:1 painters using a cone shaped filter similar to the looks of a coffee filter to strain their paint. Anybody know of a similar thing for hobby use? Something suited for the size of airbrush paint jars? Where might I find something like it? Anybody use something like this? I'd hate to blow these little bits onto my paint job but I also don't want to strain out any pearl flakes.Later-
Modlbldr Posted October 13, 2017 Author Posted October 13, 2017 Thanks for the link. I figured someone had dealt with it. Sounds like some old panty hose will do till I can get some pick up tube screens.Later-.
crazyjim Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 I bought some full size cones like you mentioned and I think they were 12 micron? I'd have to look the order up. I use them for straining clear. I made a stand to hold the filter so I can pour into the filter and down into my airbrush cup.
