Jantrix Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 (edited) Time to choose. Although this poll is open to the whole forum I would appreciate it if only those of you who plan to participate in the Community Build Project would vote. Edited October 20, 2017 by Jantrix
Erik Smith Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Kind of a tough choice - I like 4 of the 5 - I’m going to look at my kits and mull it over...
iamsuperdan Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 Count me in with whatever the poll decides. How long is the poll open for?
Jantrix Posted October 20, 2017 Author Posted October 20, 2017 Count me in with whatever the poll decides. How long is the poll open for? Until say .............................................. November 15? Sound okay?
Jhedir6 Posted October 20, 2017 Posted October 20, 2017 (edited) My vote's in. Originally I wanted Pro-touring but now I'm thinking I like the Inliners theme. What's the planed start date for the 2018 version? Edited October 21, 2017 by Jhedir6
zenrat Posted October 21, 2017 Posted October 21, 2017 (edited) No question, it has to be vans. Edited October 21, 2017 by zenrat
iamsuperdan Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Van with a inline 4...?Hey, that would work in three of the above categories! Ha!
Lunajammer Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Hey, that would work in three of the above categories! Ha!Four if you funkify it.
Erik Smith Posted October 27, 2017 Posted October 27, 2017 (edited) Oh no, now it’s a van with a straight six and big ugly wheels...hehe. Guess I should focus on my 2017 model still... Edited October 27, 2017 by Erik Smith
426 pack Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 What about a pro touring minivan with a inline 4.then it would fit in all the categories.
Erik Smith Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 We could add an “all of the above” choice!
Jantrix Posted October 30, 2017 Author Posted October 30, 2017 We could add an “all of the above” choice! You guys are killing me.
zenrat Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 I may be jumping the gun but here's some inspiration for the up coming Van-ball.
otherunicorn Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 24 inline. That would be a looooooong time in the making.
iamsuperdan Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 (edited) For funsies, here's my halloween costume from a couple of years ago. I grabbed a van here at work, and decked it out. Then slow cruised our parking lot, beckoning to the girls in our rental department. Edited October 30, 2017 by iamsuperdan
Jantrix Posted October 30, 2017 Author Posted October 30, 2017 Time to choose. Although this poll is open to the whole forum I would appreciate it if only those of you who plan to participate in the Community Build Project would vote.25 Votes so far. Not bad. Since there's only two votes between first and second, I'll leave this open for another week or so to make sure everyone who wants to vote can.
dave branson Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Would this model be ok if it becomes Vans????
Erik Smith Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 This may end up a photo finish. Would this model be ok if it becomes Vans???? Well, it says “Van” Van:a covered boxlike motor vehicle, typically having a rear door and sliding doors on the side panels, used for transporting goods or people. ...but is it really a sedan delivery?
StockBoresMe Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Transverse or longitudinal matter if its inlines?
Jhedir6 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Transverse or longitudinal matter if its inlines? Inline is inline....shouldnt matter which way its going.
Jantrix Posted November 2, 2017 Author Posted November 2, 2017 (edited) Would this model be ok if it becomes Vans???? I'm glad you asked. I'm inclined to say no. In my opinion, that is clearly a sedan delivery. Sedan deliveries are based upon a passenger vehicle. Basically a paneled in station wagon. Panel trucks are based upon a pickup platform and are more in-line with the van theme. Please do a Google Image search to see the difference between a '38 Ford sedan delivery and a '38 Ford panel truck. Of course this is open for debate if you wish, but if we wanted sedan deliveries we should have picked a wagon theme. Transverse or longitudinal matter if its inlines? Nope. Go for it. StockBoresMe Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Awesome. Because if I gotta travel across country I'm going to want to save on the gas bill. I imagine that big block caprice in the 2017 run is going to be hitting gas stations every 20 minutes
