zenrat Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 I'd need 4. Plus Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper and Snorky... 2
slusher Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 remember the show, but not this.them argo's would be perfect in the back of one of my 4by'sYes, would love one in the back of my pickups...
Casey Posted October 22, 2017 Author Posted October 22, 2017 That is/was the only 6x6 in bi-scale kit form I know of, so I'm guessing the $85 MSRP for the MPC kit is still less than what an original Aurora Banana Buggy would sell for.
disabled modeler Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Yes, would love one in the back of my pickups... Me too...!
Casey Posted November 8, 2017 Author Posted November 8, 2017 More info and pics posted on Round2's Collector Model blog: http://www.collectormodel.com/#sthash.V5PSKo74.G8EU7A6d.dpbs Sounds like it's an Amphicat 6x6...that works for me:
Jack L Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 I got me a Amphicat from the space 1999 kit its very nice the tires even say Amphicat on them
Robberbaron Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 If one were feeling ambitious, they could chop up an MPC Cyclone stock car to replicate the Mercury Cyclone Sportshauler show car. Not sure if the kit of the normal Amphicat would fit in it, though. Apparently they used an Amphicat "Papoose", specially built for the show car, (and presumably smaller than the normal Amphicat) 1
Mike C. Posted April 14, 2022 Posted April 14, 2022 I had one of these that came with a G.I. Joe Egyptian archaeologist set when I was a kid. Probably worth a fortune now.
stavanzer Posted February 8, 2023 Posted February 8, 2023 And, Round2 Delivers again. The Amphicat Kit is now on pre-order on line. 1

Casey Posted March 22, 2023 Author Posted March 22, 2023 Was excited to see this as a (finally!) stand alone kit, but at $25...might have to be patient for a few months.
