That is/was the only 6x6 in bi-scale kit form I know of, so I'm guessing the $85 MSRP for the MPC kit is still less than what an original Aurora Banana Buggy would sell for.

I got me a Amphicat  from the space 1999 kit its very nice the tires even say Amphicat on them

If one were feeling ambitious, they could chop up an MPC Cyclone stock car to replicate the Mercury Cyclone Sportshauler show car.  Not sure if the kit of the normal Amphicat would fit in it, though. 

Apparently they used an Amphicat "Papoose", specially built for the show car, (and presumably smaller than the normal Amphicat)

I had one of these that came with a G.I. Joe Egyptian archaeologist set when I was a kid. Probably worth a fortune now.
