That is/was the only 6x6 in bi-scale kit form I know of, so I'm guessing the $85 MSRP for the MPC kit is still less than what an original Aurora Banana Buggy would sell for.

If one were feeling ambitious, they could chop up an MPC Cyclone stock car to replicate the Mercury Cyclone Sportshauler show car.  Not sure if the kit of the normal Amphicat would fit in it, though. 

Apparently they used an Amphicat "Papoose", specially built for the show car, (and presumably smaller than the normal Amphicat)

Was excited to see this as a (finally!) stand alone kit, but at $25...might have to be patient for a few months.
