stitchdup Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 This is the johan plymouth patrol car done as a mildish sleeper. I swapped the seats for 4 bmw buckets with the headrests removed. It is lowered as much as possible without cutting the chassis up. The wheels are from a 60s bmw sports car inside some bigger rims that I removed the centres from, and the hub caps are just thumb tacks/push pins with the tops foiled. The engine is from a broken up older build of mine and I know the wires are far too big but they are well glued in and I didn't want to damage the paint removing them. The first pic shows the true colour scheme which has a lighter fade along the bottom edges.
donb Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Very cool car. I like the sleeper idea a lot. Good job!
carman1 Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 very cool sleeper, I imagine it needs all that motor to make that tank move !
Bucky Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Very cool! The wheels look great, and the colors are right! Well done!It reminds me of a friend of mine, years ago, who bought a decommissioned state trooper Plymouth, and took it to the drag strip on Saturday nights! He won some money with that black bomber!!
PARTSMARTY Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Looks very cool-i'd love to have kit of that.
espo Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 That would make a great Undercover Car or what we used to call a Narc Car.
bbowser Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 Great model, don't see many 4 doors in scale.
NYLIBUD Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Very cool sleeper..Never realized how long these cars were.Great job.
