Oldcarfan27 Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 How about adding "Conquista" and "Super Sport" decals to the El Camino sheet? In multiple color combinations. Love the Trans Am, 80-81 Z28 and IROC Z decals. Do you have them available in other color combinations too? We need birds in other colors besides SE gold. (But we could use the non-SE yellow/gold/black) How about "Sky Bird", "Red Bird" and "Yellow Bird" decals? Or "Formula" decals? In red, yellow, gold/black and gold/white. Also here's a bird I need in gold... And tenth anniversary (along with all the red and grey pinstripes) One more suggestion, we need ACCURATE state license plates, especially vintage 50s, 60s and 70s. But this might be a tall order as each state has it's own numbering system. California alone has different colors and number combinations depending on the decade. But it's just a thought. If I had my computer up and running, I'd help you work up the vector images for these. I enjoy Adobe graphic software too.
Pat Minarick Posted June 26, 2018 Posted June 26, 2018 I have a suggestion, since you did the Super Coupe . How about for these?
Tonioseven Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 I see about ten sets I'd like to order right away.
echoxrayniner Posted June 30, 2018 Author Posted June 30, 2018 (edited) @Oldcarfan27; I tend to have to custom-make the file up in the end so any color combination is possible! That being said though, I am actually in the progress of uh... "dissecting" for the lack of a better word all the Firebirds from '77 through '81 so I can easily change the colors on the fly(including the '80-'81 Turbobird), and I'm definitely gonna make a 10th An. Firebird sheet. Also thanks for the ideas for the Conquista El Camino and the various Firebirds, gonna add 'em to the list! Working on the '78 Firebird Macho T/A at the moment so I'm definitely on a roll to get all the slightly more obscure Firebirds in 1/24th and 1/25th scale. @Pat Minarick; Good idea! I knew I missed a important Aspen/Volare. Besides it shouldn't be too much effort, just the Petty numbering on the doors and engine call outs on the hood and the small stripe that runs along the top of the fenders to the windows, plus maybe thinking of making the little rivets available on the decal sheet as well for the sake of ease. @Force; I got the little test-run for the seat decals, I dont really know if they look anything to what you're looking for, they got a bit of a red hue due to the RGB printing process and the pattern is a tiny bit more garbled than I expected, I'm thinking of enlarging the pattern a bit to see if it'll end up going through better next time, unless this is satisfactory for you! And before I go through the pile of updates, a quick note to those who ordered, the printers' decided to take a short summer vacation... at some point, I dunno when or even if they did already but I put my order for print in on June 20th and they still haven't even printed the friggin' things so I'm really sorry for the delay! Anyway, time for the big ol' pile of updates: 1969 AMC Javelin AMX-390 "Big Bad": 1982 Ford EXP 1.6 Turbo: 1980 Ford Mustang ASC McLaren M81(Along with Mustang GT ENDURO decals): 1979 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am(1/16th scale, for the MPC kit): 1973-1996 Ford F-Series(and Bronco) Emblems and Tailgate Stripes(the '91-onwards F150/250/350 single emblems got a thicker outline than shown): 1979 Mercury Capri RS Turbo: 2017 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor: 1971 Dodge Charger R/T "Gone in 60 Seconds"(the Charger that you see for all but 11 seconds and gets crushed and torched immediately, yay): 1976 AMC Gremlin X: And a ****load more is to come, I've been contacted to make a AMC AMX for 1970, 1971 and 1972, contacted for a gargantuan scaled 1/8th Firebird Turbo Trans Am from 1980, for a 1970 Torino CJ429 Type N/W so I'll be a busy S.O.B. for the next period. Hell, I'm not just being contacted, I'm also doing it to myself! Bought a '75 Cutlass kit and I'll be doing the '73 through '77 Cutlass 442s and Hurst/Olds editions for those as well. That would be cool. This is a friend's car. He bought new with every possible option he could get . You couldn't get T-top or a moonroof . The car has only around 10 miles on it . He asked if could build a replica of it. So a couple sets of decal would really help . The decals that are on the car are a second set , the original decals that came with the car are in the trunk ,never put on the car. The car still has all the tags and covers on the car , it came straight off the tralier and was never prepped for sale..
Oldcarfan27 Posted June 30, 2018 Posted June 30, 2018 Thanks for the update, you're doing an awesome job! I admire your dedication to details and your customer service. Don't burn yourself out. You've got great products here and you're filling a definite need. Your decals look great and look like they're worth waiting for. I will definitely order from you in the future! 5 stars!!!
Sport Suburban Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 I see a few I have to get from you but that 69 Javelin is one I have to have. I had these made years ago and built this one. I have a few more 69s to restore!
Ron Hamilton Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 Raoul crafted up a very nice 69 Javelin SST Resin Piece, that those "Big Bad" stripes will work well on for my purposes. and I would love to see a set of '68 Javelin Stripes for this forlorn promo that I plan to strip and have the chrome redone. Please Ray.

echoxrayniner Posted July 3, 2018 Author Posted July 3, 2018 Hah thats actually friggin' perfect! I tried to make out the license plate over and over and just couldn't make out any letters whatsoever. Very much appreciated! @Ron Hamilton; Can do! The '68 Javelin AMX with the twin stripes running over the body or the one Javelin with the stripe running alongside the top of the fenders and doors? Or both for that matter, cause why not.

Jordan White Posted July 3, 2018 Posted July 3, 2018 One suggestion I have is the Desert Fox decals available for the GMC Jimmy and pickups in the late 70's. They would especially be great for the recently re-re-released Revell GMC Pickup kit.

fumi Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Any chance for a decal set for the Revell 1991/2 Mercury Cougar? The tail lights are driving me nuts.

How about the '71-'74 Javelins , not AMX Javelins , stripes . That would be achalengs . Converting the AMX Javelins to Javelins sure is a challenge . I have the WIP"S to prove it . Thanx ...

Which is what I loved about my 1:1 AMX! I didn't see myself coming and going, and either you had one or you didn't. One can take a small block Corvette, and make it a big block and the same with Mustangs to Shelby's, Camaros, etc. Try taking a Javelin and turn it into an AMX............ain't happenin' without making your life VERY difficult!

Thanks John and Ron, Since this was brought up I want to say thanks to anyone whom bought one of them but want to make it aware that this was back in 2012 and I don't have any more of these for sale. I only did it as a very limited run and I don't cast on a regular basis. I do love my Javelins and I have 2 68 Javelins and 3 69 Javelins in my stash of rebuilders. So the decals for them interest me very much along with the 70 Duster 340!! I also plan to do the 84 Hurst Olds 442!

It would have been better if the red hue had been more to grey or beige as the interior in a Thunderbolt is beige with a goldish shine to it.
Dale Gribble Posted July 8, 2018 Posted July 8, 2018 Would be neat to see a full detail set for the Revell lowrider Cadillac . Perhaps the wood grain interior panels , a full set of scripts and underhood decals and maybe , just maybe a set of coach builder emblems . It's a very multi genre kit ...
echoxrayniner Posted July 9, 2018 Author Posted July 9, 2018 @Dale Gribble; Coincidentally I'm currently working on the '84 Cadillac Coupe Deville sheet, though to mimic the Schwartz Performance pro touring car, still gonna add all the stock Caddy/Deville scripts and emblems to it though, so there's that! @Oldcarfan27; Thanks for the kind words man, I'm keeping a solid pace but attempting not to go full on overkill as much as I can hah. @Force; On it, I'mma try some color combinations(that still are indistinguishable from gray/beige/brown) that the printer will take better as grays just flatout become red, gonna get it done for ya' one way or another! @Ron Hamilton & @dimaxion; I've finished the '68 Javelin SST, gonna do the twin-stripe '68 AMX as well for completion's sake. Also, speaking of post 1970 Javelins, does anyone have a Jo-Han '72 or '73 body they're willing to measure out for me, perhaps with some solid side pictures? @Jordan White; Definitely! I've been wanting to do some wacky 1970s GMCs and Chevrolets like for instance the Spirit of '76 C/K, so the Desert Fox is something I also really wanna get done. Anyhoo, some updates: 1973-1998 Chevrolet C/K & GMC Sierra emblems and tailgates(companion piece to the Ford one) 1991 C-1500 454SS(with the '92 decals in there too): 1968 Javelin SST: 1978 Aspen R/T Richard Petty Kit Car: And the Plymouth companion, the 1978 Volare Richard Petty Kit Car: 1973 Gremlin X: 1992 F-150 Nite Edition(both color stripes and Bronco emblems, just to cover some ground): And a little spoiler for the slightly bigger project I'm working on right now as we speak(at friggin' 12AM on a monday, what the hell is wrong with me): And so it continues, I got about 15 active projects at the moment, though they're all getting their dues! And also, one thing I should mention, I reckon I am at the max length that the text editor can handle for the main page post, I can't even do a bit of a overhaul with less heavy images and less text without getting page errors left right and center so just assume that the new stuff only gets shown off like this instead of added to the pile on the first post.
Oldcarfan27 Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 5 hours ago, echoxrayniner said: The Buick decals would be awesome, but what will we be able to put them on? Unless you know about a collonade Buick kit I'm unaware of. I really like the Silverado decal sheets (I own a 90 Shorty). The tailgate panel is an aluminum stamped piece with raised edges and borders around the letters, which it looks like you captured. But did you get the multiple horizontal lines through the whole thing? The AMT kit decal is just a grey solid background which isn't correct, neither are the letters. I tried to find a good clear photo online, but the low resolution lost the horizontal lines. Hopefully, you can see them a little bit in the pic I've attached. Don't forget to add the EFI (electronic fuel injection) decals for the tailgate too. You really are good at this! I think you've found your calling.

Can-Con Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Man, I wish there were a kit of the '76 Free Spirit. My cousin Ron had one back in the mid '80s and I got to drive it. What a great car on the highway. You may already know this but the pic you posted there is quite dark. The red section on the decals should be almost orange. If you do the Skylark decals , you might also think about the rare Skyhawk version as there was an MPC kit that you could use the decals on.
Oldcarfan27 Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Just some other ideas, Freewheeling Bronco (If Round 2 ever reissues this kit) Or this Bronco Freewheeling F150, for the Firestone pickup. Or the Cruisin van, If the next AMT kit doesn't come with these decals. Or the Pinto, but I think these were only on the 78. I always liked the vibrant colors these cars came in. They'd make great models. I wrote to Round 2 suggesting these options, but I'm not holding my breath.
