Ronron1214 Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 I figured since I just joined today, I would post a couple pics of recent builds. By recent I mean within the last couple years. The 80 is a detailed promo, silver on red, with flocking. - Original Mini Cooper- British Racing green/ white on mint green and white interior. - 1955 Chevy Cameo- White/ Red. Real Wood bed, was a lot of work but totally worth the time spent. - 1963 and 1966 Galaxies, box stock builds. - 1962 Olds Starfire- Rescued Johan glue bomb, modelhaus hood, rechromed bumpers, also a brochure car. - 1969 GT500- Blue on white, hours of photo research. - 1978 Chevy Monza- detailed/ flocked promo. - 1997 Ford Explorer- Replicar, modeled after a photo of a 97 I owned. - 1967 Mercury Comet- Box stock build. unclescott58 Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 Welcome! And you do a heck of a nice job, looking at your builds above.
Renegade Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 Great looking builds. Welcome to the forum. Look forward to seeing more of your work.
peekay Posted November 26, 2017 Posted November 26, 2017 Some very nice models there Ronnie. My favourite is the Mini but I love that silver El Camino too.
StevenGuthmiller Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Nice stuff! I especially like the Olds, although it is a '63, not a '62. But regardless, it's a very nice looking build! Steve

Monty Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Welcome to our board! That's quite an impressive array of builds you've posted. My compliments on your paint and assembly work. I couldn't help but notice your MPC '80 Corvette, as this was mine for 20 years. It looks like you were able to "carpet" the area behind the seats. Do you have any WIP pics of that process? I tried using embossing powder, but couldn't seem to get it to cover evenly.
El Caballo Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Welcome, I like the 69/70 Shelby. That brown Torino is a real throwback, I remember that color being very popular.
vamach1 Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 All of them are great but my favorite is the 69 Shelby.
Ronron1214 Posted November 28, 2017 Author Posted November 28, 2017 Thanks so much everyone!! Means a lot.

The material I used was actually called Flocking. I've tried embossing powder, but didn't work out to well, lol. Ken's Kustom Fuzzi-Fur makes the stuff I uset. I'm sure its available at the local hobby shop, if not, I've seen it on various model sites. The color selection is pretty big, and the price is very reasonable. In my experience, very easy to work to with. I highly suggest it.
