1963 Plymouth Belvedere or Savoy 426 Max Wedge with 727 Torqueflite and 4-Speed manual transmission options as well as wedge and hemi head options with exhaust manifold and header options

I really like the '63 Plymouths! I believe one of the Model King kits has most of those drive train options. I had plans to combine the Johan '63 body with one of the Model King Plymouths to build a Max Wedge car, just haven't gotten everything needed..........

It's own kit Would be nice, though!

I'm sure it has already been mentioned in these many pages, but this is one model I've wanted to build most ever since my age was counted in single digits; the 70-72 Dart Swinger, and it better have a 4-spd. This is one that solidly falls into the category "I can't believe no one has created a kit of it". However, given our current hobby environment, it wouldn't surprise me if a kit of this car was forthcoming... eventually. From someone. I would really like to see Round2 take it on, though if I had to put money on who would do it, if anyone does, it's Moebius.

It is my personal, very humble, and perhaps unpopular opinion that the 340 Swinger was among the meanest muscle cars built.

Just went back and had a look, Stunning car. Interesting wheel covers. Given the meticulous detail of this restoration, I assume they are original. Never seen them on a Swinger before. Looks good.

Standard 3 speed floor shift , 3.23 ( IIRC, he added Sure Grip), and that's all. He now has Keystone Klassics ( rare small bolt pattern ) on it.

Picking up on Richard Bartrop's post during August. He mentioned that he would like to see an Auburn Speedster kitted.

I picked up the old 1/25th scale Pyro kit at a local model show just recently. Underneath it says the kit was released way back in 1955. I can remember building one of these before, back in the 70's.

There are no plated parts on the kit and no transparencies either. The parts look a bit on the heavy side in places. But the kit does have potential. It does have engine detail but the chassis, underside and sump are all moulded as one large flat moulding. So I will be building it as a kerb side model. The engine parts will find themselves in the spares box for now. The headlamps have lenses that have to be painted, but I am sure that I will find replacements in the spares box. As for the windscreen, as it is a split frame design, a couple of flat pieces of clear acetate will do the trick.

As far as I know Pyro was the only company to make a plastic kit of this car in 1/25th scale. It would possibly compliment the 1/24th scale Cord that Monogram made despite the small difference in scale.

Yes, I have one on those, and I should have qualified that by saying I would like to see a decent version.  Lindberg has reissued the Pyro kit numerous times with plate parts, and to truly horrible wheels and tires.  It's a relic from the dark ages of plastic kits, and it shows.

You are dead right there Richard.    It's a bit crude to say the least.

I came across a build of it by a German guy named Jurgen who spent (wait for it) 900 hrs on his model. It's over on the Britmodeller Forum.

I won't be going to that much trouble with mine however.   Life's too short !   Lol.

A pity Monogram did not do it along with their Cord kit say back.

I'd love to see that too!

I combined a JoHan with a Mobius, wasn't as easy as I thought, window shapes are different on the real cars from the '63 to the '65.

I always thought the bodies were the same and only the front was different!

I was wrong.

Crosley had quite a few racing variants, including this little guy that actually managed to run at Le Mans in 1951.
