TransAmMike Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Man I like "Blasphemi". Would be an easy car to replicate with the '55 Sedan kit.
doorsovdoon Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 I'd like to see just one model of any car I've owned. There is a Morris Marina by Airfix, but that's been long out of production and the moulds don't exist anymore for it. I'd like to see any of the following- Mk1 or Mk2 Ford Escort, 4 door Ford Sierra Mk1 Ford Fiesta Mk1 Vauxhall Victor FE Volkswagen Derby LS Rover 2000 P6 Is that too much to ask? Lol. I'd be happy with just one of those.

I enclose pics only for your amusement. on the plus side it has round wheels. If it wasn't for the white resin you could see all the pinholes too 1
doorsovdoon Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 That's a bad cast. Looks like it's carved from soap! Lol. Yeah, would love to see a P6, or even a P5B the sporty 3.5 litre version, although I never owned the P5B version I certainly wouldn't say no to building one! 1

When I was a kid there was a family friend who had a P6 2000. I got to ride in it a couple of times. Pretty nice car.

Rob Hall Posted March 20, 2022 Posted March 20, 2022 Those wheels on the Rover were called 'Rostyle', very similar to the Magnum style in the US. The long-running Buick 5 spokes were called the Buick Road Wheels, I believe and differed from Magnums in that the spokes were concave rather than flat on their surfaces.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rostyle_wheel 1

I don't think I have any that are exact, but I hope to do some combining and scratching to make a few. I have a Cadillac to try and make my old '83 Buick Electra. The doors, roof and quarter panels are the same.

There's nothing even close I could use to create any of the cars I've owned, especially in 1/25 1/24 scale. There is a Ford Transit in 1/24 scale that I used to have but mine was the Mk1, different front end and dashboard.

It's probably the only car I've owned that has something close to it in kit form that I might be able to work with. Converting it to a four door will be the most involved part. It's the XR-4i kit, but it is a Mk1 like I had so is definitely a good starting point. I just need to build up the courage to get it out and start cutting it up. 1
kjohan Posted March 26, 2022 Posted March 26, 2022 A couple of Fords in scale 1/24-25: - One of the very early ones , preceeding the model T, like the Model A, B,C from around 1903-1906 There once was one I think model B in 1/32 - A very basic four-seater model T saloon / sedan ( closed / not tourer etc) There are several versions of model T available but really no standard saloon to paint black There were Tudors, Centre doors and Four-doors Revell once had one in 1/32 scale and there is the AMT hot rod coupe in a double -kit But nothing, to my knowledge at least, if you want to build a just plain standard / stock four seater car

I recall a cartoon I’d seen decades ago in a model car magazine where the wife was explaining to the used car salesman that her husband wouldn’t buy a car that hadn’t been made into a 1:25 scale model kit ? 2

I think its motobitz that do them

My problem, and a lot of others I'd imagine, is that nearly all cars that have a kit version of it are super expensive. Being from the UK makes them even more rare, so, I'm screwed over twice, Lol.
