keyser Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 (edited) Ertl did 1/25 diecast Divco that’s out there, cheaper than the mint one but not always. Hmmm. Edited August 17, 2022 by keyser

I was looking for a chassis and how to scratch build the interior, find suitable decals etc. Then Danbury Mint came out with their Divco. I bought it and ya know, there is no way I could top theirs as a model. The Danbury Mint DIVCOs are very nice ! I have two of them , just cant bring myself to rework one to make the dairy brand that delivered to our house when i was young. my dad had a Borden milk route when i was little and remember him taking me with him on the week ends

keyser Posted August 17, 2022 Posted August 17, 2022 Helms. There’s an expensive diecast out there, 1/24. Cool. I need one.

They used to have better doughnuts than most standalone bakeries.

And I'm still trying to duplicate their sugar cookies without success. I eat the rejects without guilt though. 1

Mike C. Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 (edited) 1970 Formula Firebird. Enough with all the Tarns Ams already. The Trans Am wasn't the only Firebird in 1970. A hood tach would be nice too. Edited August 25, 2022 by Mike C. 3

I have made "Hood Tachs" shaped out of plastic scraps for a couple of Pontiac builds. 1

Mike C. Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 Thinking of trying to scratch build a Formula hood (from the Revell T/A hood) but what would I use for the scoops?

Mike C. Posted August 25, 2022 Posted August 25, 2022 I wasn't aware that MPC had done a '72 years ago. Have you seen what kind of cabbage these kits are bringing in today? ? 1

There is one in lesser condition on the bay today that would make a decent model for less money.

I have a 1/2 decent '74 re-builder, another '74 I'm converting to a T/A "canyon carver" and a pretty nice '76 promo. I don't think I paid more then the price of a new kit for any of them.
Calb56 Posted August 26, 2022 Posted August 26, 2022 Just my 2 cents but it would be nice to see the 32 Fords done with the proper chassis, tank and suspension to build as 40s or 50s hot rods. 32 Phaeton with a proper interior. Buick. 53 Buick Roadmaster, and how about a 62 Skylark? Any Mercury from the 50s. 50 Plymouth Business Coupe.

Just because he's asking that for it doesn't mean anyone's gonna buy it for that. He's also asking 90 bucks for a reissue '72 Chevelle from a few years ago. Ridiculous price for a common as dirt kit.

There is also another one on eBay now that's up to $100 with 7 days left and 7 people watching. I'd rather pay the 8 bucks and shipping for the resin hood since that's the only thing I need for this project. MPC 7215 1/25 1972 Pontiac Firebird opened unbuilt plastic kit | eBay 2
