This is my first attempt at doing a weathered look. I kinda screwed up on the chipping so I tried something different and I think that it came out pretty good. I was thinking about putting dents and some cancer but I might do a restoration on it some day.

You've got a pretty good "patina" look going here. Your first time trying it? I'd say you're off to a flying start! B)

Yes it is my first time. I ended up putting the flat clear on instead of the chipping compound."oops" I put some thinner in my air brush and sprayed the teal enamel off to reveal the rust

I wanted to save as many parts from it as possible so I built the blown caddy motor and put it on the stand

Thanks! I really appreciate the compliments. Especially on my first attempt at weathering. This is the third model I've ever done and now I'm hooked.

Challenge accepted Slotto. I have a 32coupe , Shelby S1 and a Chevy Cruze to finish first. And possibly a 72 vet that's going to be a 1:1 replica of a friend's car.

I think I will do it 100% show room new
