LotusGuy238 Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Hi all, I'm almost done with this build but I wanted to post it under this topic anyways. This is the Revell of Germany version of the kit. The moldings are really good for an older Revell kit and most of the parts are very detailed. I have discovered a huge figment issue with the body and chassis. The wheel well also fit terrible and I believe this is the cause for the poor body fitment. I'll post the final picture in the "Under Glass" section along with my custom F40 LM I built. All positive and negative comments are welcome on my work. Anyways here's my progress so far. Evans Quote
Phildaupho Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Looking forward to seeing your 612 Underglass. Quote
ismaelg Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 I built a blue one years ago. This kit is notorious for chassis warp. Quote
Zoom Zoom Posted January 25, 2018 Posted January 25, 2018 Seems like I remember both chassis warp and rear wheel wells hitting part of interior bucket, making it frustratingly awful to finally get the rear of the chassis to finally fit. I was lucky; both kits had straight hoods, everyone else seemed to get a warped hood. Both of mine were early production kits. Quote
CAL Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 I am building same kit and was on the down side and ran Into an bunch of fitment issues too Quote
LotusGuy238 Posted February 6, 2018 Author Posted February 6, 2018 The good news is that a dremel tool and a heat gun worked wonders. I got my kit to fit very nicely in the end. Will be posting pictures ASAP. Quote
dino246gt Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 I built one years ago, but I shortened it and made a phantom 2-seater. It's a nice kit with some awesome details, especially the interior! I used Enzo wheels, Ciao! Quote
