Ya I agree Dann...some of their others are a bit MEH, like the ones with all the weird Asian graphics and characters.....I suggest you avoid those.

Again I thank you for rekindling my interest back to this website, hoping to see a few old familiar avatars pop up

Thank you sir. Have a nice evening.

No worries, thanks for noticing. I cannot paint a perfectly straight line, but I am not too bad with a pen in hand.

For the next build, a yellow Ferrari Dino, I think I will try to cut strips of Tamiya tape as the inserts and use Sharpie ink again on the tape for colour...just to give a smidge more dimension.

See there is a familiar name!!! Good to hear from you as well Bruce and thanks

You cannot see the distributors as they are so tight to the firewall...just use the kit ones and drill out in appropriate locations...I have a schematic pic if you need it

I agree......cant stand all that Anime BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH on the box-art, especially when it has nothing to do with the subject matter of the kit!.....I'm specifically referring to Fujimi's recent re-release of one of their garage kits......the garage is faint in the background, and there are like 6 sexy Anime girls in skimpy French maids outfits, all up-front, and in your face!....WTF!!!!!      By the way, I thought it had been a while since I saw some of your work, and wondered if you were okay......glad to see you back!!

Thanks Dann, really nice of you to say

Oh yeah, I am all good just been building other stuff...helicopter, jets, space shuttles and our house.

Honestly, after Harry passed away, MCM has been a bit harder for me to come back to. Losing a mentor like him just sucks and I needed some time, do some other stuff....but now I am back and doing more car stuff so it is all good.

I have bought three of his models from Amy, his daughter, and restored two...will show them at some point

I’m working on the curbside version myself right now. Trying to putty and blend the rear hood section together at the moment since it is actually one piece on the real car.

Well, I have been dragging my behind waiting on a two part clear to arrive from Gravity Colors...second shipment attempt since November 2017. Really killing my mojo for car building

Anyhow, I pushed on and finished small bits that’s I could....exhaust with chrome tips, taillights, sidelights, windscreen Future treated. So now I wait, and wait , and wait....

Oh, and I scratched the gd fender waiting...have to repaint it:unsure:

Hey Scotty  B)

365 is coming along nicely, engine is looking good,..what did you use as the spark lead dividers ?

on the 246 I finished, I cut the vent windows away from the main windshield to make it easier to install... 2cents

Keep it going bud Cheers

Yep, one of those side window supports was broken out of the box, so I cut them both off...figure easier to add directly to the windshield. the top support is warped as well so will be fun

The spark leads are separated by a little photo etch band. I think it is actually a little hose clamp.

Working on a Lotus Martini Type 79 at the moment while this one is on hold. First formula 1 kit build since I was 15, a couple years ago...like 35!!!!

I will start a wip thread when I get some progress
