Michael Kröger Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Hallo Today Finish Pics from my 1957 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer D500. Base was the Hendrix Resin as a restoration. 1957 Chrysler 300 from AMT as Donor for the Interieur. Some Parts are Scratch or 3D designed and 3d printed. I am very Lucky to finish it. Janne Herajärvi Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Amazing! Beautiful model, you dont see these too often
Lovefordgalaxie Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 WOW!!! It would be amazing if done from a full kit, but as a reunion of parts, and a Hendrix body, it's nothing short of a work of art. I have a Hendrix body of a '57 Fairlane 500, and it's BAD. Warped roof, thin spots on the engine bay you can see trough (there is an actual hole on the radiator), and extra thick on the rockers, so thick the AMT chassis is 5mm "too wide" to fit. Not to mention the pin holes, and texture over the entire body. When I decide to build a Fairlane 500, It will be easier to just modify the AMT polystyrene body.
blunc Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Beautifully done. A fantastic looking car, big or small.
Sixties Sam Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Beautiful model! Great colors and foil work! My parents owned a 1957 Dodge when I was a kid. It was a big car! Sam

bbowser Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Just incredible workmanship throughout, a stunning model! Thanks for sharing the WIP.
BigTallDad Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Absolutely dazzling. You nailed it! I remember those dual antennae...both of them functioned. Depending on the radio station location and the direction you were traveling, the signal (and volume) would vary if the car changed direction, such as in a curvy road.
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Very nice. I'd love to have one for my collection. The best looking car of the 50's in my opinion.
6bblbird Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Beautiful model! Outstanding craftsmanship! Truly museum quality. WF
Anglia105E Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 What a beautiful model, of a beautiful full size motor car. I agree with Eric in that it must be the best looking American car of the 1950's. I like the tinted glass and the whole colour scheme actually. Nice build Michael and you must be proud of this one. W-409 Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 You nailed it... It looks excellent in every way. Paint job is very smooth and your BMF work looks flawless. Really nice details everywhere finish it off. It's nice to see something like this built, we don't see these done too often...
Erik Smith Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Michael, fantastic work. That is one beautiful model. Loved the WIP too so we could all that went into it.
Tom99 Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 (edited) That is awesome! Edited February 4, 2018 by Tom99
Hmann68 Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Stunning! It couldn't look better! My grandfather bought one of these brand new and one day later the front fender came loose and got hung up on the tire. There were several bolts missing from factory lol ?
TooOld Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 Absolutely stunning ! Excellent work combining part with a Hendrix body to build this beauty !!
crazyjim Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 That build is making me drool. Gorgeous build.
espo Posted February 4, 2018 Posted February 4, 2018 I followed your build on this and have seen all of the problems you had to overcome. This is just outstanding in everyway.
