Olderisbetter Posted February 6, 2018 Posted February 6, 2018 This is for you chemists and scientist types. We know about Lazer Bond and Bondic. Is there generic resin??? we could use with a UV flashlight that would work the same?
ChrisBcritter Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 (edited) Yes - Alumilite makes a UV resin that sells for about $20 for a 4-oz. bottle. A UV flashlight will work with it; however I use a small LED UV plug-in light since it tends to cure a little slower than Bondic (it's a bit more viscous). Makes great headlight lenses! Alumilite's resin dye works OK with it for casting taillight lenses but it really slows down the cure time and you have to use thin layers. Bondic may work a little better for those.
