57peppershaker Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Has anybody built / modded a 29 model A ? Like the Nova they look a bit odd in the box 'as is' ? Be interested to see any improved builds. Changing the headers and chassis colour might make a difference but the grill & lights are real bad.
Snake45 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I think I've seen these in kit form at Hobby Lobby, but I'm not 100% sure it's the same thing. Couple weeks ago I bought a late-model Boss 302 Mustang diecast "kit" I'm pretty sure is a Maisto. Looks like something fun to Snake-slap together as a slump-buster someday.
57peppershaker Posted February 28, 2018 Author Posted February 28, 2018 They came as metal kits and built ups in various colours. Front looks too clunky but hides it better in black.
57peppershaker Posted March 2, 2018 Author Posted March 2, 2018 Thats my point Rob, its a funky kit but was wondering if a change of X or Y part woulda improved it. Most of the diecast I have are quick detail builds rather than a full plastic build. Maybe hacking the front off the chassis & replacing with X part will transform it from funky to an ok type model ?
Snake45 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Oh yeah, that whole front suspension is a deal-breaker for me. To fix it I'd have to sacrifice the frame and front end of some kit I'd rather build more. 1
