Saw this pic on an automotive forum today, a very unusual configuration...everything on this Chevy V8 seems to be in the wrong place...

Well, that's one of those cases where sure, you CAN do it, but really, WHY would you want to?

Unless specifically designed to package the induction and exhaust systems like that, converting most every engine on the planet to intake through the exhaust ports results in a SIGNIFICANT reduction in power.

But then again, hot-rodding to me has always about making things work better.

I have to agree.  On most modern engines, the intake and exhaust valves are different sizes not to mention the ports.  Switching them around would definitely change the air flow into and out of the engine.  This really looks like shade tree engineering to me.  My guess is a few beers and a bet to bring this one to this end.

So who is going to build their own version this in 1/25th?  Would be fun to see...
