M*A*S*H David Ogden Stiers Gone at 75

Maj. Charles Emerson Winchester III, (Stiers) passed away at the age of 75, He also was on other shows as a guest star, He also did voice over work, Most remembered  for his work on M*A*S*H . He also was the voice behind cogsworth in the movie Beauty and the beast.

One of my alltime favorite MASH lines was not by him, but about him (probably from Hawkeye): "His family crest is one beaver paying another beaver to build him a dam."

That sucks,he was hilarious on MASH.And yes he was in other movies.One of which,he played John Cusack's father in "Better off Dead"    RIP

BIG fan of MASH, I watch the entire series once a year on DVD (No laugh track!!).

If the show is funny, you don't need a "laugh track" to tell you when to laugh. That's why I don't watch any shows that have a laugh track.

I guess you were a big fan of The Office and now enjoy Modern Family. Me too.

I never appreciated him on MASH, but just loved him once I saw him do drama. He plays warm characters so well.

Sad stuff, for sure. Many of the cast are now gone.

Never cared for the Burns character he replaced and at first I did not care for his character but he grew on me. 

He was a good actor and is missed.
