NAPCO Conversion

Just wondering if anyone has done the NAPCO Conversion on any trucks, I am thinking of using the Revell 66 Suburban and making it a USGS survey truck.

Ask over on the truck forum. Lotsa those guys really know their stuff, and I KNOW I've seen a reference to the NAPCO conversions over there.

They didn't start installing their own "manufactured-in-house" 4X4 drive line until 1967, IIRC.

Yes, GM started producing their own 4WD trucks in house, instead of installing or supplying  NAPCO components on the 1960 trucks. Now, I'm sure you could still order the NAPCO parts after 1960 and convert your 4x2 on your own, which is how many were done before 1960:

I do recall one member working on a crew cab railroad owned truck a while back, so perhaps a forum search would turn up some hits. There's not much of anything available in terms of early 4x4 parts from the aftermarket, and zero in kits, so you have your work cut out for you.

Thank you everybody. I never pick the easy projects if I can find a parts drawing or a frame drawing showing me the front drive set up I should be able to pull it off. I will ask over in the truck forum.
