THarrison351 Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 Yes, some of the first books I ever read as a youth.
Bainford Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 I've read a few as a youngster, and I read all of William Campbell Gault's car and racing books, which are very similar. Oh, and of course Henry Gregor Felsen's book, Hot Rod. I also remember a couple of paperbacks that I got through a book program through school, called 'The Fastest Funny Car' and 'Road Race', which I wore out. Still got them somewhere.

I have Gault's book Rough Road To Glory! I had read it about 4 times in High School and at the end of my Jr Year the Librarian gave it to me as it was a well worn book that they had pulled from the stacks and said she knew I liked it so much! Just reread it again this past winter!
Greg Myers Posted March 28, 2018 Author Posted March 28, 2018 (edited) If you're into the early history of the SCCA (sporty car racing) Burt Levy has a fun series starting with "The Last Open Road" kind of a back east thing from the fifties. Edited March 28, 2018 by Greg Myers
cobraman Posted March 28, 2018 Posted March 28, 2018 I have Gault's paperback "Drag Race". Read it again not long ago. Good fast read.
