NOBLNG Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 (edited) Got'er done. This is the first car I have used BMF on and I like it a lot. No more painting trim for me. I could not get the foil to stick to one of the rear bumpers due to the body filler I had to use on it. Instead of sealing it so that the foil would stick, I tried an experiment which turned out pretty well so I left it alone. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/131277-1967-corvette/ Edited April 7, 2018 by NOBLNG add pic
Snake45 Posted April 7, 2018 Posted April 7, 2018 Looks very clean and slick without the front and rear emblems and front bumpers! Very smooth!
donb Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Very sharp! Foil makes s big difference. Some days it is awful and other days its a beautiful thing! Lol!
shoopdog Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Great looking restoration, your foil turned out as nice as your paint work.
NOBLNG Posted April 8, 2018 Author Posted April 8, 2018 Thanks for the compliments all. The right rear bumper is actually covered with foil duct tape, as I couldn't get the BMF to stick to the filler on it. The left bumper is "new improved" BMF chrome. Paint is Tamiya TS-58 pearl light blue decanted and airbrushed with Testors Aztec gloss clear topcoat.
