I thought that his BJ truck and his Movin on truck was the real deal, not just replicas.
Force Posted April 25, 2018 Posted April 25, 2018 (edited) I don't know for sure but after what I have seen on Paul Sagehorn's own now gone tvtruckin.com website some years ago the Movin On truck and the BJ truck he has now is supposed to be the real deal, he even found the right Brown trailer for it. He had a replica BJ truck with a trailer with a modern reefer unit at first but he appearently sold that when he found the truck he has now. If you follow the link below you can see what Paul himself wrote about his TV trucks on Hank's Truck Forum in 2009.http://hankstruckforum.com/htforum/index.php?topic=31943.0 This is what was found under the fifth wheel mounting plate on this truck when it was restored, the photo is saved from Paul's own tvtruckin.com website. I stand corrected it is the original BJ series truck! Info above has been changed to reflect that!!!! Edited April 27, 2018 by DrKerry

I didn't even realize that he had sold the Movin On truck. I went back and looked at last September's pictures and his name was no longer on the truck.

Yeah he had told me he sold the Movin On rig in June of 2017 and it is now in Tennessee somewhere!!
Force Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 (edited) It would be bad if these iconic trucks would disappear again, the Movin On truck is sold, both the Rubber Duck and Duel trucks are sold...and the websites about them are gone resulting in lots of lost information. Sagehorn at least still has the BJ truck. Edited April 27, 2018 by Force

Sagehorn at least still has the BJ truck. Unless he sold it recently, Brad Wike has the Duel truck in Lincolnton, here in NC. He has a show every year at his farm in September. This past September his Duel truck was there, along with the Movin' On truck (now under new ownership I found out), The BJ and the Bear truck of Paul's was there and the Rubber Duck truck was there too. If I'm not mistaken the Rubber Duck truck belongs to someone in Georgia now. The year before last I got my picture took in the Rubber Duck truck, this past year I got my picture took in the BJ and the Bear truck. Maybe this year I'll get the Duel truck and the Movin' On truck just to be safe. Oh yeah, I took my son's picture in them too.

Paul had a photo in his shop of all five rigs together! I know the Bandit rig is a replica!

Force Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 It looks to be quite true to the original...so it's a good replica.
olsbooks Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 While on this topic of movie/TV rigs (and being the GMC nut) does anyone know whatever became of the General from S&B II? I recall GMC had some lofty (no pun intended) goals for that "Generals Quarters" sleeper but darn few built and never released as a regular production option. I cannot recall the builder of it but am quite sure it wasn't Brighton Metal Products (supplier of their regular sleepers). It might have been Bentz but that's only a guess as the layout, features, and styling inside and out was so close to that used by IH on the 4370 and 9370 .
Casey Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Pretty sure I saw this tractor last Sunday towing a different trailer, as I was heading eastbound on I-90, a few miles west of Sparta. Too slow with the phone camera, but it was pretty cool to see it truckin' down the Interstate.

I know there was a truck show in Waukesha at the Expo Center this past weekend! Wanted to go but it was to danger hot for me and my daughter to go to!! Paul may have had the truck down there but I don’t know if he did or not without asking him...
Yahshu Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 Thanks for posting these, do you have more? I contacted Paul awhile back asking for detailed photos of the BJ rig as I'm building one at present (5yrs & counting) but got no reply. Chassis & engine photos would be real helpful.
DrKerry Posted September 23, 2018 Author Posted September 23, 2018 Chassis and engine are the same as most stock KW K100’s as far as hose routing and such! I have a few pics that I pulled from the tv show they did on the rebuild of the truck if they’d be helpful! Have a couple more but they won’t upload!

Oldcarfan27 Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 (edited) As far as I know, the one he has now is the REAL BJ&B truck. Here's pictures I found of him pulling it out of a field after he purchased it - no resto, no touch ups. And the trailer, interesting to note that he used the Movin' On truck to pull the parts. Ah, the brotherhood of TV show rigs! Greg Evigan approved! Edited March 29, 2019 by Oldcarfan27

Ah, the brotherhood of TV show rigs! Greg Evigan approved! You are correct Patrick! Paul owns the real deal Bear rig from the third year in the series of the show. His is dubbed the #3 rig from the third series of the show! At the time he still owned the Movin’ On rig and used it to bring home both the tractor and trailer (separate days) of the Bear rig! He bought the trailer and the guy he bought it from was like “ Why are you so interested in this old trailer?” After the sale was complete Paul told him what the trailer was originally from and then the guy knew why this trailer was of importance!!
