disconovaman Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 I dug this out of the "Junkyard" Monday and started piecing it together from 3 different Amt 60 Chevy leftovers. Here's what I've done with it so far. It's just a quick build for our local club (ACME) challenge. Still have a few details to add. Here it is for now . Thanks for looking... 1
ranma Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Nice truck! PM me if your willing to "part" with one of the inline 6's from one of those "parts truck parts" I'd like one to use in a 57 chevy 150 sedan.
disconovaman Posted April 28, 2018 Author Posted April 28, 2018 No problem send me your info I'll get it to you!
avidinha Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 Nice truck, I like the custom touches, especially the Caddy air cleaner.
disconovaman Posted April 29, 2018 Author Posted April 29, 2018 Thanks guys. We had a great turnout at the club meet. This month's theme was "trucks" so I figured I'd post some more club members trucks here too. Enjoy!

espo Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Great looking Hot Rod. I like the roll pan on the rear and the front bumper looks like you flipped it. Were the Fog/Driving Lights in the kit or did you make those ? I liked seeing your other members builds also.

Thanks espo... that bumper and the hood grill inserts with "heartbeats" were part of the Custom issue. I used the top of another tailgate to make the rollpan, and it worked perfectly. There were 4 different issues when that truck was in production. 3 stock and 1 Custom... I wished Round 2 would bring it back. It would be cool with colored glass and revived decal sheet, maybe add the soapbox derby car? Yeah, it's a head scratcher to me why the kit hasn't been repopped. I've built at least 20 myself...was my first ride... I've owned 2 and love the bodystyle. A longbed would be cool to see on the truck also. Edited April 29, 2018 by disconovaman

Good looking truck Anthony. The wheels look like they came from the LX Mustang kit but I don't recognize the tires. Where'd you get those from? Edited April 30, 2018 by mustang1989
disconovaman Posted April 30, 2018 Author Posted April 30, 2018 Thanks Joe, those rear tires are mickey thompson drag radials. The tires were in the pinto wagon. Mpc "Ford mini van"... but I've had a few of those kits and I only had one that had the tires in the kit? all were sealed except one, the kit these tires were in was a sealed kit. I'm not sure if you will find them in the Mpc wagon or not? I'm sure someone will know if they were used in other Mpc kits. The letters on the sidewall are a tad "sticky-outty" but they are hollow so the mustang wheels fit great. The front tires are from the mustang. I'll take a better pic of the tires so you can see the center grooves "street slicks" and the side walls too.
